Amboise

The city of Amboise is located in the heart of the Loire Valley, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, amid castles built by the kings of France starting from the fifteenth century. There are many suggestive places to visit, some of which are reflected in the waters of the Loire: in particular the Château Royal, the residence of the French kings during the Renaissance, where Leonardo Da Vinci is buried in the chapel of Saint-Hubert, the Castle of the Clos Lucé, where the Genius lived for the last 3 years of his life, the historic center, the numerous cellars and the Tour d'or blanc, promoted by the Amboise winemakers. Amboise combines the tourist vocation of its castles and its landscapes with the wine activity and the tasting of its wines.

In the heart of France

Currently the Network and Itinerary of the "Le Vie di Leonardo Da Vinci" involves 6 cities ( Vinci, Amboise, Vipava, Istanbul, Florence and Cesena) and 4 nations (Italy, France, Slovenia, Turkey).
